This case study delves into a comprehensive garage renovation project for an active couple residing full-time in Sarasota, FL. Upon expressing their desire for a complete garage makeover, our owner Walt conducted an initial on-site consultation. The couple's storage needs revolved around heavy-
duty totes for long-term items, a variety of grab-and-go essentials requiring easy access, and discreetly stowed components, not to be visible from the street.
Our team collaborated to craft several design iterations, culminating in a final, optimized plan. This design integrates slatwall along the perimeter walls for effortless retrieval of everyday items, a fold-down workstation for adaptable workspace, inverted shelving and an overhead rack for prolonged storage, and a sleek bank of tall cabinets.
Beyond storage solutions, the clients were also interested in a custom blend floor to compliment the space. The solution features a medley of differently sized chips and the addition of Terrazzo flakes for heightened visual appeal. The completed project not only exemplifies the functionality of our design for our clients but also serves as inspiration for future applications.
